BodyWorx Physio in Newcastle is once again hosting an accredited Sports Medicine Australia Level 1 Sports Trainer course. Excellent for anyone involved with sports as an athlete, coach, manager, parent or club volunteer.
This course is being run on March 2nd and 3rd (Sat & Sun), 9am-5pm at our Junction clinic (78 Glebe Rd, The Junction).
The total cost for this nationally accredited course is $285, allows you to work and be paid as a sports trainer and has a prerequisite of a WorkCover recognised senior first aid certificate.

The Level 1 Sports Trainers course is designed to introduce participants of the basic knowledge and skills required by a Sports Trainer. These skills include the management of specific sporting injuries, sports taping and transporting an injured athlete. This course educates prospective sports trainers, teachers, coaches, administrators and parents on the basic principles of sports medicine.
Sports trainers play a vital role in the prevention of injury. This course provides participants with the necessary skills to assist in improving athletic performance, making sport safer for all.
- Current Sports and/or Provide First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Minimum age 16 years
- If you do not have a first aid certificate you may still complete the course but a certification cannot be issued till you provide documentation to SMA.
